Park City scheduled April 19 as its closing day, even though its neighbor Canyons closes a week earlier. This week, Park City hosts EpicPromise Week, a festival with a slopeside party, an avalanche dog meet-and-greet, and an Instagram contest—all with the message of environmental preservation.

After hosting a month-long celebration called Springtopia with live music, lift ticket and lodging deals, and slopeside s’mores, Winter Park puts on a free concert by The Wallflowers in the Village during closing weekend. The season officially ends with a pond skim on April 26.

Skiers can rage at Whistler through May 18. The World Ski and Snowboard Festival takes place at the base of the mountain April 10 through April 19 with live music, ski and snowboard competitions, and tons of beer.

Arapahoe Basin typically stays open later than the rest, and this season hasn’t disappointed us yet. The resort usually shoots to close on the first Sunday in June, but with its high altitude and cool temperatures, that date's already been pushed back. Sunscreen required.
